Dream Interpretations

Dream

I’m in the gym working out with a friend of mine. I see Annie (my friend) on the other side training with some woman but we don’t speak. I go over to that side to use a machine that is right next to where Annie is, but we still don’t say anything. There are towels there and I ask the woman if those are her towels and if I can move them. She says sure. I come back again and Annie is training some man. I ask Annie if I can move the towels, she says yes in a dry manner. I move the towels, that’s it.

Interpretation

The gymnasium is an excellent resource for outer, physical activity, but have you been exercising your inner activity? Has it been a little over-anxious lately from not getting the attention its requiring?

I don’t know what’s worse, the inner tension that silence creates amongst two friends who won’t acknowledge each other, or, the excruciating pain of the fear that refuses to let you speak! It’s nerve-racking and frightening to sit under the sword of fear that sidetracks conversation to something as menial as, “Can I move the towels, Annie?”

Dry questions beget dry answers. Let’s go back to what you originally asked and how you asked it. Is this really what you wanted to say? How often do you speak what you truly desire to express? If you feel anxiety or resistance when you desire to say something you truly feel, note these feelings and question them. (And don’t forget that both people in a relationship feel what’s really going on. If one person is feeling awkwardness in a relationship, so is the other. It’s never one-sided).

As I scan through your dream and see that Annie is training a man, the following questions come to mind: Were you heard by either of your parents while growing up? Were you listened to and validated? It is common to project past experiences into current relationships which prevent dialogue with present day co-workers, peers and friends.

If the male aspect within is out of alignment with its inherent nature, ie, performing tasks, getting things done, speaking up for what he/she believes in, it will come out sideways by way of non-important chitter-chatter. This, of course, creates an additional physical problem, anxiety and frustration, which then leads to more physical workouts at the gym to relieve the additional tension. Oh, I’m getting exhausted just thinking about it!

I’m currently moved to mention training. Remember, life takes all kinds of training, including self-expression, to grow into our greatest potential. Do not let the past keep you from expressing who you are.

On a side note, physical symptoms: You may sometimes feel a twinge in the back, right mid-section of your neck. As you begin to speak up, the flow of the natural life force will restore the energetic current that runs through the fifth chakra (throat and neck area) and balance the energy back into its natural state. So if you occasionally feel headaches or slight neck pain, start to speak up. God Bless You.
