“I don’t dream’ or “I can’t remember my dreams” is what I commonly hear from a lot of people, but everyone dreams. We spend a third of our lives sleeping, hence dreaming!
The objects, people, and places that we dream of have different meanings to many people. For instance, dreams of the ocean could be pointing the dreamer to a specific location such as the Pacific or the Atlantic, or, it could be representing a certain mood such as a romantic vacation, or, if the ocean appears as a tidal wave, it could be representing emotional upheaval.
Let’s say a man dreams of getting his bike stolen. Does this mean his actual bicycle? Not necessarily. This dreamer happens to be a writer who creates his story ideas while taking long bike rides. This man’s dream reveals a fear of losing his writing capabilities and creativity.
Our dreams are so important because the unconscious picks up information not yet recognized in our awakened state. It then communicates these facts using symbolism through our dreams.
Benefits of Dream Analysis:
Dreams identify the misconceptions planted in our subconscious that continually cause the same destructive behavioral patterns over and over again.
Dreams reveal the cause of current struggles and confusion that you now experience.
Does ‘give, give, give and never seem to receive’ sound familiar? There is an art to receiving. Your dreams show you how you block yourself from that which you consciously desire.
Understanding your dreams allows you to control your own destiny because dreams symbolically reveal the desires of the unconscious not yet exposed and understood by the conscious mind.
